From JP to trail lovers everywhere: It's that time of year again. Time to head to the backcountry, build some trails, enjoy a campfire, ride bikes, hang out and have a rad time with other backcountry lovers. There are a few new twists this year so pay attention.
When: September 8-10 (we've kept it the weekend after Labor Day).
Where: The Nunnink Cabin Property
Where exactly: The Private Property is at the start of the Blue Lake Trail in Grouse Ridge Non Motorized Area. Blue Lake Trail is off Bowman Lake Road via FS Road 18-06. We will have signs up and post a map.
Objective: to rehab the Blue Lake Trail from the trailhead to Beyers Lake. Mostly this will be corridor work with some tread work too.
What to bring: Everything. There is no water and no electricity. It's a short but steep hike down and back to beautiful Blue Lake. We cook communally, so bring enough food for yourself and a little extra. Bring your favorite trail tool but we will have extras.
Friday: arrive anytime midday or later. We will do a dusk bike ride and hang at the campfire.
Saturday: Trail Work. will start at 9 promptly
Sunday: Group Ride starting at 9 promptly
The final 1/2 mile of road is rough. You will need a 4WD for sure. We will arrange a shuttle for those who need it.
Mark you calendar and clear your schedule, it's GrouseFest time!
